Why I think I would be a good fit for Lexie / HearX
I have been following Lexie/HearX’s growth from a unique vantage point for quite some time. Through my friend Charlene, I’ve had a front-row seat to the impressive design standards and the collaborative culture you’ve built. As she is moving on to her next chapter, I am excited to submit my application for the Senior Design position.
Beyond my respect for Lexie’s/HearX’s mission to make hearing healthcare accessible globally, I am specifically drawn to your structured creative environment. I’m coming from a background where I have to act as a “one-person marketing department” – handling everything from initial concepts and copywriting to front-end tweaks and photography – I have become very good at navigating the creative process independently. However, I’ve often envied how Lexie brings together experts in every niche to work on projects. I can just imagine that it must make the execution so much better and polished.
I am eager to bring my multi-disciplinary expertise to a team where I can collaborate with designers, dedicated copywriters and developers on truly meaningful projects.
My interest in health technology is also deeply personal. As a student, my research into the sensory advantages of play therapy taught me that design is most powerful when it serves a vital human purpose. I’ve always wanted to find my way back to focusing on the human behind the design. In an industry where it is easy to produce pretty pictures that feel forced or insincere, I am motivated by Lexie’s reality: that behind every pamphlet and digital interface, there is a very real person with a very real need. Designing for that person requires a level of empathy and attention to detail I truly believe I would find great fulfilment in.
What I can contribute to your team
I actually considered applying to join the team last year when a senior designer position was advertised.
Thank you for your consideration and time
I very much look forward to hearing from you
